Women's Discipleship

Our Women's Ministry reaches out to women who have been broken down by the hardships of the community and culture they live in. Many of the women with whom we work have suffered abuse, and work to raise children in a community that does not support them. Most women in the community have very little education, which means they struggle daily to provide for their families. In most cases the fathers are abusive, suffering with addictions, or absent, leaving the women physically, mentally, and spiritually broken.

Ahava Ministries works to teach the women about the hope Jesus brings, and that He sees them by their true value. We want them to know that they are loved and appreciated, that their gifts and talents don't go unnoticed, and that they are capable of fulfilling their dreams.

In order to build relationships with the women, they are invited to participate in a monthly Bible study where they learn about the word of God and how loved and valued they are by their Savior, Jesus Christ.

We also hope to build relationships with them while also teaching them new skills that they can use to enrich the lives of their families. In order to do so we have English and computer classes, as well as other short term workshops, that teach skills such as sewing, first aid, and more.
